Werewolves on Monday Morning (affectionately called WoSM by their biggest fans) is an American Indie Rock band from Hole Bottom, Yorkshire (yes, yes, that is a REAL town!).
They were originally founded by John Jeckyl and Mark Hyde as 'Vampires Weekends' but were forced to change their name after a possible lawsuit from a band with a similar name.
'Vampires Sunday' (their second name) was also challenged by that band, claiming that they owned the weekend!
A simple solution was therefore taken to change the Vampires into Werewolves, and the Sunday into Monday Morning. A great band was born.
Once they had a name, they could then buy instruments and uniforms (jeans and t-shirts). And finally they came up with some songs and a first LP simply called "Once bitten Twice Shy"
Their first single "Taste My Fangs" received considerable airplay on Yorkshire's finest hospital radio station, Kingstown Radio.
An excerpt:
Taste My Fangs (written by J.Jeckyl & M.Hyde)
Don't be scared, little girl
My bark is worse than my bite
I will make you twirl
When I get you in my sight
My dentures are so sharp
Just take a look
